Project title: EHEPRS - European Higher education from the perspective of Russian students: a research into challenges for academic performance arising from the differences between education process in EU and Russian HEIs
Duration: 01.09.2016 – 28.02.2018
The project is implemented in the framework of Erasmus+ programme Jean Monnet Actions.
EHE PRS aims at facilitating integration of Russian students into European higher education area. The aim is achieved though conducting in-depth research into the challenges faced by students while studying at university in one of the EU countries.
The aim is achieved through accomplishing the following objectives:
- To determine what skills Russian students lack to successfully complete the study courses at European HEIs
- To define distractors which could influence students’ performance and see how they are dealt with by student mobility services
- To carry out assessment of counselling and orientation courses
The project activities include carrying out two trainings aimed at developing students’ cross-cultural competencies and extending their knowledge about European higher education system. To provide platform for discussing different aspects of academic mobility, international conference European Higher education from the perspective of Russian students is organised under EHE PRS.
It is supposed that the results achieved in the project will be used by coordinators of academic mobility at universities and students who are planning to study at EU HEIs.
The project contributes to developing cooperation between Russia and European Union in education and engaging wider academic community into discussing organisation of teaching and learning activities for international students to improve their learning experience.
